Registered Veterinary Technician Manager

Qualifications: 

  • EVTA and NSVMA Registration

  • Clinic Experience: 5+ year

  • RVT in good standing

  • Related experience in training/management an asset

  • A positive attitude, the ability to stay calm, leadership & critical thinking skills are required

What does our RVT Manager do?

Our RVT’s keep our hospital on its feet. Their roles are vital to the success of our hospital.

  • Oversees technicians and staff who have direct patient care responsibilities

  • Manages staff and schedules to provide adequate patient care

  • Develops and implements policies and procedures

  • Furnishes input for budget planning and participates in budget monitoring and management

  • Is responsible for recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

  • Maintains workflow by monitoring workload of functional areas, identifying peak and slack periods, and making operational or staffing adjustment

  • Maintains equipment

  • Oversees supply inventories for specific areas

  • Serves as working manager by actively participating and performing services when needed

  • Conducts employee performance reviews and handles personnel issues

  • Manages personnel training and development programs, including safety training

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: Starting at $35 per hour

Associate Veterinarian

Qualifications: 

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree valid for practice in Canada
  • License for practice in Nova Scotia or the ability to become licensed
  • Strong communication skills, an interest in diagnostics, internal medicine, and surgery 
  • A desire for compassionate care, to foster long-term relationships with our clients and patients 
  • For the right candidate, help with relocation can be offered 
  • Full-time or part-time hours are available

Registered Veterinary Technician

Qualifications:

What do our RVT’s do? 

Our RVT’s keep our hospital on its feet. Their roles are vital to the success of our hospital. 

  • Pull blood and other samples 
  • Communicate with clients (history taking, nutrition discussions, vaccine and preventive care recommendations) 
  • Run lab work 
  • Anesthesia and surgical assisting 
  • Radiography 
  • Dental Care 
  • Additional administrative, hospital maintenance & housekeeping duties

Start Date: ASAP 

Salary: Starting at $29.50 per hour

Customer Service Representative

Qualifications: 

  • Customer Service: 2+ year (required) 
  • Administrative Experience: 1+ year (preferred) 
  • Education or experience in related fields is also considered an asset.

What does a Client Service Representative do? 

Our Client Care Reps are the face of our hospital as they are the first point and last point of contact for our clients. Their role is vital to the success of our hospital as they set the tone for client interactions and conversations. 

  • Answer phone calls 
  • Schedule appointments 
  • Process payment 
  • File documents electronically 
  • Stock shelves 
  • Additional administrative & housekeeping duties 

Salary: Starting at 26.50 per hour

Veterinary Assistant

Qualifications: 

  • Veterinary Assistant Diploma (preferred)
  • Clinic Experience: 1+ year (preferred)

What do our VAs do? 

Our VAs keep our hospital running smoothly. Their role is vital to the success of our hospital. 

  • Assist technicians with procedures and lab work
  • Greet, handle, and restrain animals using low stress handling techniques
  • Communicate with clients
  • Monitor inventory and receive shipped orders
  • Assist with cleaning the hospital (kennels, treatment room, surgical suite and instruments, exam rooms, etc.)
  • Additional administrative, hospital maintenance & housekeeping duties as required

Salary: Starting at $24.50 per hour
